ABOUT ME:
My name is Christine and I am currently a Web Reporter/Producer for the New York Post. On The Post’s digital team, I package and produce stories – translating a variety of content from print articles to multi-faceted posts for the web. I also coordinate the homepage in order to reflect the site with the most updated stories along with monitoring and posting breaking news throughout a variety of shifts. I am also aware of our audience’s interests and priorities through analytic tools.
Previously, I was a News Editor with NBC Local Media. I managed and updated NBC’s 11 local affiliate websites and covered breaking news on the overnight shift as well as afternoons and evenings. During my time at NBC, I pitched and produced originally reported articles, written recaps for some TV favorites, and contributed to a newsroom that caters to cities all around the country.
I graduated in 2013 from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT with a Bachelors Degree in Journalism. Throughout my time at QU I interned at The Journal News and Patch.com. I’ve also worked very closely with The Quinnipiac Chronicle, my school’s award winning newspaper. For the 2012-2013 school year I was a Co-Arts and Life Editor for The Chronicle.
I’m a health and fitness enthusiast, a news, pop culture and travel lover, with a secret American history obsession. (So my interests are literally all over the map!) I have become very versatile throughout my reporting experience, and can adapt my writing style to any subject.
Also, I am no stranger to social media. Through Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram, or just your daily blog, I am fully equipped with the skills to digitally promote a publication and publish items that perform well on social media.
